Alaxe in Zombieland

Alaxe in Zombieland Slot Review

I'm not sure if when Lewis Carroll sat down to write about Alice's adventures in Wonderland that he knew what lay ahead in the future. Slot games probably didn't cross his mind or the possibility of his story becoming linked with zombies. But in the 21st century that's just what has happened as the hugely successful release from Genesis 'Alaxe in Zombieland.'

This is a five-reel and 25 payline non-progressive game and the heroine of this slot game is having a pretty scary time with all those zombies. This is no normal girl though and she can give as good as she gets and then some. You'll love it when she starts hacking zombies to death with a flamingo..
The stakes in this game range from £0.01 to £0.20 so with 25 lines and a maximum of five coins per line, the maximum you can spend on one spin is £125. Simply bet within your budget when deciding what level to stake.

This game has a dark evil look to it fitting in with the theme. The control buttons are set on gravestones and the soundtrack is suitably spooky. Not so much work has been put into the symbols with some being theme-related but then they go and use the 9 to Ace playing card symbols though at least they are given the zombie treatment , couldn't we have just had some more Alice in Wonderland characters turned into zombies.

The other symbols are a nasty looking white rabbit with his watch, a smiling Cheshire Cat no doubt with evil on its mind now he's a zombie, a fob watch, keys, a Mad Hatter who looks more like a goblin, a drink me bottle, a platter of brains and Alaxe who looks in determined kill the zombies mood.

The wild card in this game is the platter of brains and there are three scatter icons - the key, the watch and the drink me bottle and believe me the last thing you want to do is drink what's in that bottle.

Bonus Features

To trigger the Tea Party Free Spins Feature you need to get three of the Rabbit's watch symbol on the first three reels. Initially you only receive three free spins but you then have a choice to make between the scatters in order to reveal teapots. Simply choose from them to get more free spins and if you're lucky a multiplier as well.

Keep a close eye on the gold key scatter symbols because if three of those appear on the second, third and fourth reels then you trigger the Red Queen's Adventure Feature. There are five tombstones (this is such a joyous game) to choose from and each has a white rose on it. You need to pick three roses to paint red and while it's doing that your prize is revealed. The key here is to get an amount which is higher than the amount assigned to the tombstone. If that is the case then you can move onto the next one. Doing this three times means you can move onto the next level where this time there's six doors for you to choose from. Hidden behind the doors are either the Red Queen or a multiplier. If it's the multiplier that is chosen then that is used to multiply the amount you've just won in the roses game. Choose the Red Queen and that's the end of the bonus round.

The morbid theme continues in the Gravestone Feature which is triggered when three scatters appear on the third, fourth and fifth reels. In this feature you have to choose which gravestones Alaxe should chop and behind them are prizes. The bonus round ends when you reveal the 'Collect' message.

Conclusion

There's plenty of fun and games to be had here. The spooky zombie feel is applied well to the Alice in Wonderland story and Lewis Carroll is probably looking down and approving. The bonus games are great to play and profitable too.
