Dragons Dynasty

Dragons Dynasty Slot Review

China has been the theme of many a slot game and here’s another. ‘Dragon’s Dynasty’ comes from Gibraltar based company Nektan who have produced a wide range of successful slot games in recent years including ‘Best of British’, ‘Carnival Cup’ and ‘Cave Raiders’ all reviewed on this site.

There are so many elements of life in China that can be used for a slot game theme. Here it’s a beautiful looking blossom-filled garden that forms the backdrop to the reels.

This is a five-reel game that has a total of 15 paylines for you to try and win some cash on. That’ not a fixed amount so you have some important decisions to make before spinning the reels. The coin values here range from £0.01 to £50. That means you can play for just £0.01 if only activating the one payline or you can go all the way up to £750 if choosing the maximum bet. It's just best to choose a level that you feel entirely comfortable with.

The traditional Chinese music that forms the soundtrack really helps enhance the theme and didn’t have me reaching for the mute button. Symbols include lotus flowers, gorgeous looking fans and the Dragon’s Dynasty logo. The Ten to Ace playing card symbols are the low value symbols in this game but don’t look all that Chinese to me.

Keep an eye out for the panda symbol as that can really help your account balance. That’s because it’s the wild symbol in this game and has the ability to substitute for other symbols in the game to create winning combinations. Not so the scatter symbol as that’d make it a lot easier to get into the free spins round.

This isn't exactly a complex game but it won't do you any harm at all if you decide to have a look through the paytable and the game rules. Once you've absorbed all that knowledge you can have some free games and learn even more about how the game operates.

Bonus Game

Three of the Free Spins scatter symbols will get you into the bonus game in ‘Dragons Dynasty.’ They don’t appear too often though so this isn’t the easiest of bonus rounds to trigger. Those three scatter symbols win you a total of 30 free spins. That’s a decent amount but the times I’ve played the game there haven’t been that many really impressive wins and sometimes it’s been a rather barren period which is obviously disappointing. Not quite what you expect with the word 'bonus.'

Conclusion

This game has a great look to it and the soundtrack can't be faulted either. Chinese themed games seem to go down with players. The problem with the game is the long periods of time that can occur without any wins coming along or at least nothing to write home about. Keep an eye on your account balance because if you keep activating all the paylines at a reasonably high level then it might not last too long.
