Elements Slot Review

Here’s a game from NetEnt that has a really great look to it and is really out of this world. Elements: The Awakening is a space-themed slot game that is really innovative.

It’s a five-reel game that has three rows of symbols and a total of 20 paylines. These are a fixed amount so no need to spend time working out how many to play. The cost of playing the game ranges from £0.20 to £100, not a bad range so finding one you feel ok playing at won’t be a problem.

The look of the game really makes it special. All of the symbols are theme-related which is always good to see. There’s eight altogether that symbolize the elements of air, earth, water and fire. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes including a green rock creature, a fiery monster, a dark blue air symbol and a blue orb/water creature. There’s also a wild symbol which is the metallic cube. This can substitute for other symbols in order to get you some winning combinations when you might not otherwise have had one. The wild appears on all of the reels apart from the first one. The way the reels spin isn’t quite like in other games. The symbols initially just disappear and are replaced by a new set.

If you get a winning combination then the symbols that have just given you that win disappear. This of course leaves empty spaces to be filled and when the replacements fall and arrive you might just be getting some more wins.

If you want some time away from the screen you can set an autoplay. This can be between ten and 1000 or you can set an advanced selection allowing you to stop the spins when a certain balance is reached or a specific win achieved. This isn't the most complex game out there, but a look through the paytable and some free games will also help you get used to how the game runs.

Bonus Games

If the fall of the symbols brings about wins four times in a row then this fills up the avalanche meter that is below the reels. This triggers the bonus feature which is rather action packed. There are four elements so that means four different bonus games. The one you get depends on which of the quadrants is the most dominant on the avalanche meter at the time of triggering the bonus game.

You receive ten free spins/falls and the four games available to play are:

The Air Storm Game – here there are two air wilds that drop down onto the reels and stay there during the free spins increasing your chances of getting winning combinations.

The Fire Storm Game – this sees fire wilds on the second, third and fourth reels but they can spread to the other two as well.

The Earth Storm Game – earth wilds come onto the second, third and fourth reels. They’ll stay there until getting a win.

The Water Storm Game – Water wilds appear on the second, third and fourth reels and become expanding reels. This means they take up all the reel and the wins can really come in.

Conclusion

This is a really great game to play. Right from the introduction you can tell it's going to be a bit different. The wilds and the falling symbols can really help you get some great wins.
