Heroic Slot Review
Here's a slot game that really has an epic look to it. Heroic: Eye of the Dragon to give the game its full title is based on those fantasy games/books that are so popular these days. There’s a touch of Dungeons and Dragons and Warhammer here and of course dragons are also popular in Game of Thrones too.
There’s a dramatic soundtrack for the game that you won’t want to mute anytime soon. The backdrop to the reels is breathtaking and you can tell that Nektan have really put a lot of work into this game. The storyline is that you need to get the Golden Dragon Egg (probably very nice scrambled) but it's protected by some red dragons so not an easy task.
This is a five-reel game that has 20 paylines. That’s not a fixed amount so it’s entirely up to you to decide what your coin level will be and how many lines you’re going to activate for the next spin of the reels. You can play this from as little as £0.01 and as you'll shortly read you can actually get into the bonus game without having to activate every line.
Symbols include a female elf, a Wizard, a prince and a Dwarf. There's also the ten to Ace poker symbols. It’s the Flaming Dragon’s Egg that is the wild in this game. It has the ability to substitute for other symbols in the game to get you some good wins. That really takes away the frustration when you get one short of a winning combination. It’s a straightforward wild symbol though and it doesn’t expand or become sticky which is a shame. Nor is it able to substitute for the Dragon bonus symbol.
This game can of course be played on your PC or laptop but it’s also available on your mobile devices and not at all difficult to operate. Bonus Game
There’s just the one bonus game here and it’s of the free spins variety. To trigger this round you need to get three of the Dragon scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. That’s important to note as it means you can trigger the bonus round even if you only activate one reel. Once it’s triggered you get ten free spins and it’s possible to re-trigger these. During this round the mountain backdrop suddenly changes and there’s a rather dangerous looking world out there with lava coming out of the volcano. Don’t get too excited though because it’s not too easy getting wins during the bonus round though which is a bit of a disappointment.
Conclusion
The game looks and sounds great but it could really do with a few more features. The bonus game is ok but doesn't guarantee you big wins. It certainly could be a lot better than it is that is for sure.
