Alice and th e Red Queen

Alice and the Red Queen Slot Review

The adventures of Alice on her visit to Wonderland have been enthralling us since the 1800s. Whether it be books, cartoons or live action movies the story has always been successful. It's a theme that has also proved very popular for slot game manufacturers and here's another one, this time from 1x2 Gaming.

The design of the game is a bit cartoonish but there's no problem with that in my book. Playing the game costs between £0.01 and £62.50 if choosing to play five 50p coins on all 25 of the paylines. That's not too bad a range and it shouldn't be a problem finding a level that you can comfortably wager.

All of the symbols in this game are related to the Alice in Wonderland theme. That's good because there are some excellent characters in this story so no need to pad out the reels with playing card symbols or fruit. So we have The Caterpillar, The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter (who for some reason looks like a monkey), The Cheshire Cat, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the 'Eat Me' Cake, 'Drink Me' liquid, Alice of course and the Queen of Hearts.

The wild symbol in this game is the orange rabbit hole and will substitute for other symbols aside from the scatter symbol which is the teapot. Lots of different symbols then and there's another to tell you about in the bonus round.

Bonus Games

Three or more of the teapots doesn't just mean lots of people can have a drink, it also means you get through to the Teapot Free Spins. Just how many teapots trigger the free spins will determine how many you receive. Three see you only getting five, four takes that up to ten and five gives a total of 15 free spins.

Here's where the extra symbol makes its appearance. When the cake symbol appears two or more times on the reels then that's good news. Two will award you 12x your line stake, three is 30x, four 100x and five a fantastic 200x your line stake. Even better news is that all your wins during the free spins round are doubled but there's no icing on the cake as you can't retrigger the free spins.

There's also the Flush Feature to look out for. Each of the symbols has a playing card suit and if you can get five matching symbols of the same suit on a payline you have activated then there are more wins on their way to you. If it's Hearts then that pays 5x your line stake, Clubs pays 15x, Spades 20x and Diamonds really will be your best friend whether you're male or female as that pays 25x your stake.

Conclusion

This really is a great little game. I like its presentation, the fact all the symbols are theme-related and the bonus games are really profitable. It's an idea to play as many paylines as you can afford because that really gives you a good chance of getting the Flush Feature to pay you some good wins. Highly recommended game.
