Steam Tower

Steam Tower Slot Review

It’s back in time to the Victorian age when the age of steam was beginning. This game from NetEnt doesn’t just travel back to the 19th century but there’s also a bit of fantasy adventure attached to this entertaining game.
‘Steam Tower’ features a typical Victorian gentleman wearing a top hat. He’s not Jack the Ripper thankfully, he can be seen standing to the left of the reels and his job is to try and rescue a princess from the top of the tower but he needs your help.

This is a five-reel game that has a total of three rows and 15 paylines. These paylines are fixed so your only decisions are the coin size and how many you want to play. The minimum cost of playing is £0.15 and £150, that’s a range that will keep everyone happy and it shouldn’t be a problem finding a level you can comfortably play at.
The symbols in the game include the princess, our hero, the top of the Steam Tower and the golden eye of a red-scaled dragon. There’s also the Jack to Ace playing card symbols that are the lower value paying symbols. They’ve been given a bit of an industrial feel.

There are two wild symbols here, one is our Victorian hero who's a stacked wild and the other a harpoon. These can substitute for other symbols in order to get you some winning combinations.

To ensure that you fully understand the game, take a look through the paytable. A good read of that and some free games will have you fully prepared to help rescue that princess and win some cash. If you want to set an autoplay that's easy enough to do. Between ten and 1000 can be set or if you want a more advanced setting stopping the automated spins when a certain level of win comes along or your balance reaches a certain figure.

Bonus Games

If you can get one or more of the stacked wilds covering an entire reel you receive a total of ten free spins. In addition you also climb up to the first floor of the tower. Your task is of course to keep climbing the tower in order to win larger multipliers and cash prizes. If you’re able to rescue that poor woman on the 16th floor then you’ll really be in the money as this gives you a 1000x multiplier.

To get up the tower you need to get at least one of the harpoon symbols. This takes you up a floor and gives you two more free spins.

Conclusion

This is another great little game from NetEnt. The theme is a good one and well adhered to, even with the use of the lower value playing card symbols. The bonus game is a good one too as you try to make your way up that Steam Tower and rescue the princess. The stacked wilds can also bring in some decent returns so this is definitely recommended.
