Alchemists Lab

Alchemist’s Lab Slot Review

Wouldn’t you love to be able to turn base metals into gold, it’d certainly help when having to buy a ring for the other half. Alchemist’s have been trying to do this for years and years and it’s also a popular theme for slot games. You’ll be trying your hardest with this game from Playtech to turn a few silver coins into gold ones.
Playtech is the world’s largest online gaming software supplier trade on the London Stock Exchange. They have been enjoying plenty of success since launching in 1999 and with games such as ‘Alchemist’s Lab’ that’s no surprise to anyone.

This is a trip back in time to the days when we only had three reels. Just like the old days there is also just the one payline here but there is also a bonus game so there's a touch of the 21st century. The coin value in this game is £1 per coin and there aren’t too many options for you to spend your time thinking about. You can either play that one coin, Bet Two for a £2 bet or press the Bet Max button and stake £3. All reasonably straightforward on that score then.

There are only seven winning combinations in this slot because there aren’t that many symbols included. There is the gold coin, a blue potion symbol, a red potion symbol and a gold ring. The top prize is won if you can land three gold rings and this wins you 10,000x your stake at maximum bet.

The design of the game is good and perfectly portrays the title of the game. We have the control buttons down at the bottom allowing you to set your stake for each game. Just above that are the three reels. To the left of the reels is a large bottle of blue potion that tells you how much you’ve won on the latest spin of the reels. On the right is a bottle of green potion giving details of how much you have bet on the latest game. At the top of the screen is the paytable giving details of how much you can win for each winning combination. In the top right hand corner there are some more symbols that take you to a detailed document showing you how to play the game, your game history and an autoplay feature.

Bonus Game

Also in the game is a book and this is the key to the door that gets you entry into the bonus game. You need three of these on the payline. When that’s achieved then you have to choose three of the ten bottles that come up on the screen as you attempt to create some gold. The combination of potions you choose will determine just how much you’ve won.

Conclusion

Not the most complex game you'll play all year that is for sure. It's all pretty straightforward and you can get some good wins on this particularly in the bonus game.
