Cops N’ Bandits

Cops N' Bandits Slot Review

Crime may not pay, well that's what they say anyway, but this slot game from Playtech certainly provides a few laughs. Right from the intro you can tell this is going to be a good laugh and the opportunity to earn plenty of free spins also makes it a game in which you can win some good prizes.

Playtech have a long history of producing successful game after successful game and this definitely comes up with the goods. Cops N' Bandits is a five reel slot game that has a total of 30 paylines. They aren't fixed so it's entirely up to you to decide just how many you activate and what your total stake will be. This game can be played from £0.01 to £750. If you can afford that higher amount then go for it but otherwise just sit down, work out a financial budget and work with that.

In the background you can see a building, probably one that the crooks in this game wouldn't mind breaking into. The symbols in the game are a pretty good laugh. There's a bag of money (wonder how they got that and who it used to belong to), a policeman who looks as if he's on loan from the Keystone Cops, some handcuffs just waiting to be filled and then there's the bandits. They all look a bit dodgy to me, one is in blue and the other green complete with masks of course. Filling the reels up are the 10 to Ace playing card symbols.

The brick wall is the wild in this game and substitutes for all other symbols apart from the gold police badge symbol which is the scatter. The wild also doesn't substitute for the mug shot silhouette which is the bonus symbol. More about the scatter and bonus symbols in a moment.

Playing the game is easy enough and there's an autoplay feature that can set up to 99 automated spins or until one of the bonus games is activated.

Bonus Games

Three of more of the police badge scatter symbols gets you into the free spins round. Firstly you have to decide just how many free spins you're going to receive. To do this you have to simply pick one of the badges. You can choose one if just triggering the bonus round with three scatters. Four get you two picks and five allow you to have three picks of the badges. Once your choice(s) have been made then the totals are added together to produce the total of free spins you're going to enjoy.

To give you a better chance of getting some wins during the free spins round the Locked Wild feature comes into play. If a policeman ends up on the left or right of one of the thieves then that thief becomes a locked wild. This only happens on the second, third and fourth reels.

The Line-Up Bonus is triggered by landing the mug shot silhouette symbol on the first, third and fifth reels. Then a second screen comes up and it's identity parade time. You need to choose the guilty crook and the quicker you do so the more you'll win. Trouble is they all look guilty to me.

Conclusion

This is a great little game to play. The symbols and sound affects are entertaining and certainly give you a laugh or two. The bonus games can be profitable so this is definitely recommended.
