It's not an easy job being a doctor so it's no surprise that Doctor Love needs a holiday every now and then. This is a sequel to the popular game from NextGen Gaming 'Doctor Love.' Aside from the fact the sexy doctor (well that's what he thinks) is on holiday rather than treating patients and chasing the nurses, there's not a massive amount of difference. Then again he's still chasing the nurses.
The Doctor doesn't just like romancing any girl he can get his hands on, he s also a keen surfer and that's what he likes to do on his holidays. This is a bright and cheerful looking game and the symbols are fun as in the original game.
'Doctor Love on Vacation' is a five reel game and again has 20 paylines. The cost of playing the game ranges from £0.01 to £40 just like the first game. The symbols are again all theme related which is always a big plus as far as I'm concerned. They include a deckchair that has a drip attached to it, what's in the drip is anyone's guess though. There's a pretty girl in a bikini who the Doctor obviously has his eye on, there's also a not quite so attractive woman in a bikini who may well be needing the doctor's attention for sunburn. The vacation theme continues with an airplane, a cocktail glass, suitcase, beach ball, a stethoscope on the beach and a green cuddly toy plus a cuddly toy symbol. All those plus the beach and palm tree setting really give this game a great look.
Doctor Love is again the wild in this game. He's still smiling away and can substitute for all the other symbols apart from the scatter symbol. When that happens and he creates a winning combination then this doubles the win. The scatter symbol is the surfboard and this plays a really important part in triggering the bonus game.
The repetition from the Doctor Love game comes up again when you get a win. There's a gamble feature an again it's the guess the card variety. Get the suit right and quadruple your win, choose the right colour and it's doubled.
The control buttons for the game are all down the bottom of the screen. It's an easy game to operate and you can set an autoplay from five all the way up to 100 automated spins. All the info you need for the game is in the paytable and this can be accessed by pressing the info button.
Bonus Games
The bonus game in 'Doctor Love on Vacation' is again of the free spins variety. To trigger this you need at least three of the surfboard scatter symbols. There's a slight change from the Doctor Love game as this time three scatters get you 12 free spins, four award you 16 and five give you 20 free spins. These are able to be re-triggered during the bonus game. All wins you get during the free spins are tripled. Keep an eye out for the wild because if that creates some winning combinations then it gives a 6x multiplier to the win.
Conclusion
Aside from the Doctor being on his vacation this isn't a great deal different from the original game. Again the theme is adhered to well and there's definitely the chance to win some big prizes in the bonus game.
