I'm sure there's a law against foxes chasing leprechauns but that's what happens in this rather strange but entertaining slot game from NextGen Gaming.
The fox in this game doesn't spend his night in the fields or prowling the local chicken farm. No this one is rather wealthy (perhaps he owns Fox Mints or knows Samantha Fox?) as can be seen in the glamorous surroundings that can be seen both in front of and behind the reels.
The main symbols in the game include an ornate fountain, mansion, vintage car and banknotes aplenty. The wild is the fox and there's a pot of gold which is the scatter symbol.
Foxin' Wins has five reels and 25 paylines. These are fixed so your only decision is how much you're going to stake. The minimum cost is £0.25 and the maximum £50, however it's a little bit more complicated than that. This game contains the Superbet feature which plays a really important part in this game.
Without it you have a decent chance of getting the fox to appear on the third reel and create a wild. However, if you go for the Superbet Level 1 then the fox could appear on the second, third or fourth reels. Selecting level 2 means the fox can appear on all of the reels. This all comes at a cost though.
If playing at minimum stake (£0.25) and activate Level 1 the cost goes up to £0.35 and if Level 2 is put into play it'll cost you £0.50. That means at maximum stake, the £50 becomes £70 for level 1 and £100 for level 2. When you activate the Superbet, you see fox pop-ups fall from the ceiling down into the reels ready to make their appearance. We're assured that no foxes were injured during this game, not sure about the leprechaun though. With the Superbet feature activated those fox pups will suddenly appear and spin round a symbol turning it into a wild giving you a great chance of getting a winning combination.
The Superbet can help you get wins but don’t chase it at the cost of your financial budget. Five of the wild symbols do pay 2000x the line bet though so that's not going to disappoint you.
You have to feel sorry for the poor leprechaun because he’s being continually chased across the screen by that fox. If he actually gets caught then he gets turned upside-down. That’s bad news for him but it does cause his pockets to get emptied and the money that falls out gives you a handy win. There’s also the Fox Funds feature that can appear randomly and give you a cash win.
This is an easy game to play once you've worked out where all the control buttons are. The spin button is on a cushion sitting on a chair. Sitting on a pedestal is the autoplay feature that can set from five to 100 automated spins.
