Ramesses Riches

Ramesses Riches Slot Review

It’s back to Egypt for another slot game. There are so many that use this part of the world as the theme for their game and it’s difficult to come up with something new. NextGen, who keep on producing some great slot games, have tried their best with ‘Ramesses Riches.’

This is a five-reel game with three rows of symbols and a total of 20 paylines. That’s not a fixed amount of paylines so you have some decision to make before spinning the reels. It’s possible to play with just one payline if you want to and still be in with a chance of getting into the bonus game. Playing the game costs between £0.01 and £80, that’s a wide enough range to satisfy all kinds of players. It shouldn’t be too hard to find a level you can comfortably gamble at.

In the background we see two massive palm trees and just a glimpse of a pyramid in the distance. It’s all very bright and that continues with the symbols for the game. They are all rather basic really, no design awards going to be won here.

The symbols include the Eye of Hours, Cleopatra, Bastet and a sacred scroll. There’s also the nine to Ace playing card symbols which is far too many really and does nothing to enhance the theme of the game.

The wild symbol is Ramesses himself and he’s a big lad. He can substitute for other symbols to get you wins that you wouldn’t otherwise have had. When he does get you a win there’s a bit of animation as he lets out a loud laugh and crosses his arms. You’ll be happy too as any wins he creates are doubled. If you can get five of the wild symbol on an active payline then that gets you 5000x your line bet. As powerful as he looks the wild can't substitute for the ankh symbol which is the scatter here.

You can set an autoplay of between five and 25 automated spins. It's also possible to find out more about the game and its rules by accessing the paytable. After reading that have some free games just to see what the game is like when the reels start spinning.

Bonus Games

If you can get three or more of the Ankh symbols then into the free spins round you go. Three of the symbols will see you playing with 12 free spins, four takes that up to 16 and five wins you 20 free spins to try and win some cash with. There’s a good chance that will happen as all wins in the free spins round are tripled, so try and get as many as you can. There might even be more free spins on your way as it’s possible to re-trigger them if the scatter symbols turn up again.

The game also has a gamble feature. When you get a win in the base game you are offered the chance to gamble it. You don’t have to accept and can just politely turn it down and go onto the next spin with your winnings intact. If you do gamble then please be careful. Your task is to correctly guess either the colour or the suit of the next card. A correct colour doubles your win and a correct suit quadruples it. This is all down to luck though so try not to lose important wins.

Conclusion

A rather basic game but an enjoyable one nonetheless. The bonus round can definitely get you some good wins especially if you keep on re-triggering the free spins. Just be wary of that gamble feature though and hang onto your wins.
