Fantastic Four Slot Review
Since the early 1960s people all over the world have been following the adventures of the Fantastic Four. We've loved the comic and usually hated most of the movies that have been made, especially the disastrous 2015 version. This slot game from Playtech though is much more entertaining.
Playtech keep on coming up with the goods when it comes to producing successful slot games. 'Fantastic Four' is a five reel game with an impressive 50 paylines and a progressive jackpot. It can be played from £0.15 to £150 not a bad range and finding a stake level you're comfortable with shouldn't be a problem whether you're a low or high roller.
So what about the symbols in the game? Well they're just a little bit disappointing. We get The Invisible Woman, The Thing (thankfully wearing some clothes), The Human Torch and Mr Fantastic. There is a degree of animation with the symbols which is pretty impressive especially when the Human Torch flames on. Aside from the planet earth which is the scatter symbol and the Fantastic Four logo which is the wild, the other symbols are simply the nine to Ace playing cards. Surely we could have had some more characters such as Alicia, Doctor Doom or the Silver Surfer to add to the games theme.
As mentioned the wild symbol is the Fantastic Four logo which is the number 4 with a circle around it. With there already being 9 and 10 symbols there's a bit of a surplus of numbers here. You won't moan if you get five of the wild symbols though as this earns you the top prize of 10000x your wager.
Bonus Games
Landing three of the scatter symbols anywhere on the reels will earn you 12 free spins. Now it's always a good idea for game designers to add a little bit extra to a free spins round and that's definitely the case here. We get extra character symbols on the reels during the free sins and they appear on the third reel. When one character covers the whole of the reel that's really good news as this awards you a further four extra free spins (three for The Thing). Also you get an expanding wild if it's Mister Fantastic that gets you the extra spins, an increased multiplier for the Invisible Woman, an extra wild for the Human Torch and frozen wilds for The Thing. This is a really good bonus round and can certainly win you some huge amounts. You'll be keeping an eye on the third reel for sure.
As in all Marvel related slot games there's the Marvel Progressive Jackpot to aim for. You can play for either the Power Jackpot, Superpower jackpot, Extra Power and Ultimate Power. They appear randomly and you don't have to be playing at maximum bet to be able to play.
Conclusion
Aside from the slight disappointment over the symbols this is a great game. The bonus features are really entertaining and the chances of landing the Marvel jackpot will keep you on your toes. If only the films could be as entertaining and as far as the latest film goes, as profitable.
