5 Reel Drive

5 Reel Drive Slot Review

A slots game with a clever title. 5 reels in the game and a theme partly based on 5 wheel drives. As well as the car theme there's also a fast-food link so this might get you feeling a bit hungry while you enjoy playing it, so play this and head down to the nearest drive-thru restaurant. Don't worry though because you can play this on your mobile device while waiting for your burgers.

'5 Reel Drive' is a non-progressive nine payline video slots game and of course has five reels. It's another release from the hugely successful Microgaming who have a rock solid reputation for putting out some top quality video slots.

The wins in this game pay from left to right with the exception of the scatters which pay in any direction. The minimum stake here is £0.25 but that only gets you one coin and one active payline so this isn't the cheapest of games to play. The betting range is £2.25 to £90. Just choose a stake that you feel ok with and make sure you spend your time enjoying the game not worrying about finances.

It's not the most complicated of video slots but a quick look through the paytable and some demo play will really help you.

Playing the game is pretty straightforward with all the main control buttons being situated at the bottom of the screen. You do have a choice to make though because you can either play in regular or expert mode. Truth be told there's not much difference between the two to be honest. In expert mode you have an Autoplay option where you can set up to 500 automatic spins and the length of time between each one.

Symbols in the game include hamburgers, french fries, milkshakes, a tasty looking blueberry pie, a doughnut and cup of coffee, a pair of fluffy dice, a road sign, police car, taxi, burning tyres and two cars complete with male and female drivers. The graphics are pretty basic but entertaining enough and at least all the symbols are theme related so no playing cards here. To get the jackpot you need five of the burning tyres on an active payline.

The wild symbol is the road sign and this can substitute for everything apart from the scatter symbol which is the police car.

Bonus Games

'5 Reel Drive' is a bit short on bonuses and there's no free spins or progressive jackpot available here, not even a gamble feature on wins. The only real bonus is the multipliers that are available via the police car scatter symbol.

If at least three of them appear anywhere on the reels. Three get you a 5x multiplier, it's 20x for four and a brilliant 50x if five appear. You'll never be so happy to see a police car turn up because this can provide you with some very good wins.

Conclusion

The lack of bonus games is a major disappointment here. Another problem is the cost of playing the game. With it costing a bit to play you'd at least expect more bonus games or at least a progressive jackpot to aim at. There are certainly a lot of better games for you to play than '5 Reel Drive.'
