Multi Player Roulette is a Microgaming table game that puts up to seven players around the same virtual European roulette wheel. The shared table is the defining feature - you can see every other player's chips placed on the felt in real time, and a built-in chat lets you talk to whoever else is at the table.
The game runs on a standard single-zero European wheel, so the house edge and bet types are exactly what you'd find in any other European roulette game.
The Wheel and House Edge
Multi Player Roulette uses a European single-zero wheel with 37 pockets numbered 0 to 36. The house edge is 2.70% and the RTP is 97.30%. That figure applies to every bet on the table - inside bets, outside bets, call bets - the edge does not change depending on which numbers or sections you back.
The single green zero is what creates the house edge. Without it, the payouts on outside bets would be exactly fair. French Roulette sometimes softens the zero's impact with the La Partage rule, which returns half your stake on even-money bets when zero lands, cutting the edge to 1.35%. Multi Player Roulette does not include La Partage, so you're playing at the standard 2.70% throughout.
Bet Types
All the standard inside and outside bets are available:
- Straight up - single number, pays 35:1
- Split - two adjacent numbers, pays 17:1
- Street - three numbers in a row, pays 11:1
- Corner - four numbers sharing a corner, pays 8:1
- Six line - two adjacent rows of three, pays 5:1
- Dozen/column - 12 numbers, pays 2:1
- Outside bets - red/black, odd/even, low/high (1-18/19-36), pay 1:1
The payouts look generous on the inside bets, particularly 35:1 on a straight up. What they don't reflect is the actual probability - a straight up bet on a 37-pocket wheel has a 1-in-37 chance of winning, not 1-in-36. That gap between the true odds and the payout is the house edge expressed in a different form.
Multiplayer Format
The table seats up to seven players. All bets are placed simultaneously during a countdown timer - you can set the wait time to 20, 40 or 60 seconds depending on how fast or slow you want to play. Once the timer runs out, no more bets are accepted and the wheel spins for everyone at the table.
Other players' chips are visible on the layout, so you can see where everyone is betting. The built-in chat works during the betting phase. Wins appear on screen as they happen - you'll see when another player at the table hits a number.
The shared table doesn't affect your odds or payouts. Each player's bets are settled independently based on the same spin outcome. If two players back the same number and it lands, both get paid 35:1.
Controls and Display
The game includes a statistics panel showing hot and cold numbers based on recent spin history. This is informational - roulette spins are independent of each other, so past results don't predict future ones. The wheel has no memory.
Expert mode enables autoplay and rebet functions. Autoplay runs a set number of spins with the same bets placed automatically. Rebet places your previous spin's chips without having to manually position them again.
Mobile Play
Multi Player Roulette loads in a browser on mobile and tablet. The layout scales to the screen. The betting grid is functional on a small display, though the chat and statistics panel take up more space than on desktop. The game runs smoothly on a standard mobile connection - unlike live dealer roulette, there's no video stream to worry about.
Who It Suits
Multi Player Roulette is for players who want standard European roulette odds with a bit of social interaction built in. The chat and visible bets make it closer to a table game atmosphere than a single-player RNG game. It suits players who find solo roulette repetitive but don't want the slower pace or streaming requirements of live dealer games.
If the social element doesn't interest you, standard European Roulette plays identically at the same 97.30% RTP. If you want lower variance on outside bets, French Roulette with La Partage reduces the edge to 1.35% on even-money bets.
