Good To Go Slot Review
There’s no sign of Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg here but ‘Good to Go’ is an exciting motor racing themed slot game from Microgaming. If you can keep up with the pace then there are some great wins to be had in this game.
‘Good to Go’ is a five-reel game with three rows and just the nine paylines. That’s not a fixed amount so there are a few decisions to take before you spin the reels. You need to decide the coin size, how many lines you want to play and then how many coins to place on each line. The minimum cost of playing the game is £0.01 and the maximum £90. A wide enough range there for you to find a figure that will tie in nicely with your financial budget.
There’s a whole host of symbols in this game. Those that fit in with the racing theme are the race car, license plate, helmet, chequered flag and tyre. There’s also the pit girl who is the wild symbol in this game. She substitutes for all other symbols to make winning combinations apart from the scatter symbol which is the speedometer.
The rest of the symbols are the playing cards going from Seven to Ace. That’s eight of them which is way too high and we could have had a few more racing themed symbols to be honest. I’ve had plenty of spins that have ended with the vast majority of the reels filled with the eight to Ace which doesn’t really get me in the motor racing mood.
This game can be played in regular or expert mode, the only real difference being the ability to set an autoplay. It’s possible to set either five or ten automated spins.
After each win in the base game you can gamble your winnings. This is the usual guess the next card game and the choice here is the colour of the next card that comes up, red or black? Getting it right doubles your win but getting it wrong means it’s game over and you’ve lost your winnings. Be careful with this gamble and don’t get carried away with it. You’re here to win not win and then lose.
A scatter win is achieved by getting two or more of the Scattered Speedometer symbols from left to right on the reels. When you get a scatter win you also receive three free spins and all the reels that have a scatter symbol on them will be held. During the free spins scatter wins pay anywhere on the reels and it’s possible to re-trigger the free spins feature. If you’re really lucky and get all five scatter wins held then the maximum scatter win of 50x will repeat three times.
An enjoyable game that could do with a better bonus feature and a few less playing card symbols. You can still get some good wins from this but a bit like F1 and the ongoing Mercedes domination in recent years, it could be a bit more exciting.
