Munchers

Munchers Slot Review

I guess it’s inevitable that people will make comparisons between this game and a certain musical about a shop restricted by its size where not very nice things take place. This is another entertaining game from NextGen Gaming who continue to release extremely entertaining games and this one definitely fits that description.

‘Munchers’ is set in large greenhouse and from the view we get of it in the background, it’s seen some much better days. That may be due to the fact that there seem to be a host of wild carnivorous plants there and other creatures that aren’t too house-proud at the best of times.

This is a five-reel game that has a total of three rows of symbols and 25 paylines. That’s not a fixed amount so it’s entirely up to you to decide just how many to activate. Playing this slot can cost between £0.01 and £50. Just work out a financial budget, stick to it and enjoy playing the game.

The symbols are rather cartoonish but look great fun. They include a fork/trowel, a large orange spider, a horrible bug with red eyes and a pair of gardening gloves. I think Alan Titchmarsh would turn down the job of sorting this greenhouse out.

It’s a shame we get so many playing card symbols with the nine to Ace present here. Another jolly monster would have been appreciated. However, they do fit in with the theme a bit as they all seem to be being attacked by the evil plants.

The wild symbol here is the giant plant that definitely looks like the one in that musical. It substitutes for all the other symbols in this game apart from the scatter. This certainly helps get you some winning combinations that help to keep your account balance ticking over nicely. Five of the wild symbols wins you the top prize with a multiplier of 5000x. The scatter is the red and green watering can, more about how that will help you shortly.

Just like you’d read all the instructions on a packet of seeds, take a look through the paytable to find out just how this game works. Then have some free games to see it all in action.

Bonus Game

To get some free spins you need to get at least three of the scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. This gives you ten free spins to play with and the wild symbol will help you get even more wins. That’s because it becomes an expanded wild now and turn reels completely wild. It’s not possible to re-trigger the free spins which is a shame but the expanded wilds do give you some healthy returns.

The game also has a gamble feature included. It’s the usual one of trying to guess the colour or suit of the next card to double or qauadruple a win. Just be careful with this, if you’ve got a good win keep it and go onto the next spin.

Conclusion

An enjoyable game to play and one that can give you some good wins. The free spins round is definitely a money-maker so this is a game you should really give a go though I recommend muting the irritating repetitive soundtrack.
