Tomb Raider – Lara Croft

Tomb Raider – Lara Croft Slot Review

Video games have created some fantastic characters over the past few decades. One of the biggest successes has been Lara Croft, the heroine in the Tomb Raider games. This is one archaeologist who is a lot more entertaining and attractive than you’ll see on ‘Time Team.’ Here’s the slot game version and it’s from Microgaming who keep on putting out some great games.

It’s important that this slot version looks a bit like the much loved video game. Thankfully that is the case here and the soundtrack isn’t too bad either. Anyone who has played the video game will love seeing the symbols in this game.

‘Tomb Raider’ is a five-reel game that has three rows of symbols and a total of 15 paylines. That’s not a fixed amount so it’s up to you to decide just how many to activate for each spin of the reels.

The higher value symbols in the game are Lara of course, a complex puzzle and a tiger. There’s the Tomb Raider logo and also the Ten to Ace playing card symbols. They at least get in on the act by adopting a lettering style that’s similar to the Tomb Raider logo.

The wild symbol is the Tomb Raider logo and can substitute for other symbols to get you some good wins. There’s also a scatter which is Lara with a gun and the idol is the bonus symbol. More about those shortly.

It’s really important to learn as much as you possibly can about the game before you start pumping money into it. This is easily achieved if you take a good look at the paytable. There’s lots of helpful information to be read here. This includes information about the symbols, how much they pay and where all the paylines are. You’ll also learn about how the bonus games work. Then have some free games and you’ll see Lara in all her glory.

Bonus Games

The Tomb Bonus isn’t the longest of games but it can get you some good wins. It’s triggered by landing at least three of the idol symbols on an active payline. This then takes you to another screen where you have some idols to choose from. The number you can choose depends on how many of the idol symbols triggered the Tomb Bonus. Each idol you choose reveals a cash prize.

To get some free spins you need at least three of the Lara Croft scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. This gets you ten free spins and all wins are tripled. Get three more of the scatters and you can re-trigger the free spins.

A great version of the popular video game. It has a good look to it and fans of Lara Croft will definitely be impressed. The soundtrack is alright and the bonus games profitable. It’s a shame that the Tomb Bonus isn’t a bit longer but when you get some good wins I guess you won’t be complaining much will you?
