Carnaval Slot Game Review

The noise they make might just drive you round the bend but there’s always a great time guaranteed with a Brazilian Carnaval. That’s the way they spell it by the way and this slot game from Microgaming certainly puts you in the mood for a party and that’s before the wins start to roll in.

It’s usually a good reason to hold a party when Microgaming release a slot game. They’ve been putting out great games for a couple of decades and this is another of their successful games.

This is a five-reel game with three rows and there’s nine paylines for you to try and win some money on. The graphics are bright and cheerful just like any Brazilian Carnaval is and the soundtrack is full of party music that won’t have you reaching for the mute button unless you’re going to be playing this all night.

Playing the game costs between £0.01 and £90. That’s a wide range so your financial budget should be able to find a home somewhere between that lower and upper limit. Perhaps as you start to get some good wins you can increase your stake.

The wild symbol in this game is the Carnaval Headdress and this only appears on the second, third and fourth reels. When it does make an appearance it can substitute for all other symbols apart from the scatter symbol. It’ll only pay one winning combination per spin though.

Not a great deal of imagination went into deciding what the scatter symbol is in this game. It’s simply a colourful symbol with Scatter written into yellow. This can be scattered anywhere on the reels to complete winning combinations. It’s not as important in most games though as you’ll soon discover.

You can either play this game in regular or expert mode. Choosing the expert mode brings some advanced features into play. This includes the Spin 5x and Spin 10x buttons that allow you to play five or ten games in succession without having to press the spin button again. There’s also an autoplay feature that allows you to set more detailed automated spin based on your account balance, whether you get a big win and the number of seconds between each spin.

All the other control buttons can be found at the bottom of the screen and are easy to use. This may not be a complex game but a quick look at the paytable and a few free games is still advisable.

Bonus Game

This is going to be a brief section because there isn’t one in this game. A bit disappointing but at least the wins you can get in the main game are quite high.

Conclusion

The lack of a bonus round in this slot game from Microgaming is a bit disappointing. If you love your free spins or pick ’em games then this might not be for you. There are some good wins to be had from ‘Carnaval’ so playing it is definitely worth your time.
