Cosmic Cat

Cosmic Cat Slot Review

Cosmic Cat sounds a bit like a crazy cartoon series from the 1960s. Well this is certainly a trip back in time because Microgaming have again come up with their take on the classic three-reel game.
Back in the day there was great fun to be had in amusement arcades playing the 'one-armed bandits' or 'fruit machines.' There wasn't always a great deal of money to be won but they gave me plenty of pleasure while I waited for the rain to stop.

'Cosmic Cat' is a three-reel game that has just the one payline. Now that might be a bit of a disappointment to those of you used to playing games with 25 paylines. You'll probably also be dismayed by the fact that 'Cosmic Cat' doesn't have any bonus games either. That doesn't mean there's no fun to be had from playing this game. After all in my book, anything that has a space traveling cat is bound to provide some entertainment.

The actual spinning reels don't take up much space at all. They're seen at the top left of the screen and the cartoon of Cosmic Cat underneath is larger. To the right of the reels is the information that tells you just how much each winning combination pays. Then down the bottom of the screen are the control buttons.

Your main choice here is to decide how high your stake will be on the one available payline. The coin range varies from £0.25 to £5. You can play either one or two coins on each game so the maximum stake here is just £10. Not one for the hi-rollers out there but this is still an entertaining game to play.

The symbols in this game are another trip back in time. There's the bar, double bar, triple bar, Cosmic Cat himself (or herself?) and a mouse. Well wherever there's a cat there has to be a mouse even in outer space.

The Cosmic Cat logo is the wild in this game and can substitute for other symbols in order to create winning combinations.

One or two of the Cosmic Cat symbols anywhere on the payliine returns you 2x or 5x your stake respectively. The largest prize you can win in this game is 1000x your stake if you are lucky enough to be able to land three Cosmic Cat symbols on the payline. This is a high variance game so the big wins don't come along that often. There are plenty of smaller wins thought that can keep your account balance ticking over nicely.

Bonus Game

There's no bonus game here.

Conclusion

There's not a great deal to this game that does have to be said. If you're a lover of the complex games that are sometimes as easy to understand as the manual for my smartphone, then this might not be for you. Then again, it might be a welcome relief from all those games. It certainly brings back some memories and if you're into nostalgia then this can definitely provide that for you.
