Germinator

Germinator Slot Review

Now this is one of those games that has a bit of a different look to it and gets a little bit stranger when you actually start playing it. 'Germinator' has the theme of a load of germs but rather than infecting you and making you cough and sneeze, these can give you some good cash wins.

This is a six-reel game that has six rows of symbols, so that’s a little bit more than we’re used to. Does that mean it’s going to cost more to play though? Well, there are 12 fixed paylines and the cost of playing ranges from £0.60 to £24. Not a bad range for a game like this.

The look of the game is a bit different with the symbols not being the most attractive you’ll see. They are basically germs but rather gruesome looking ones in blue, green, orange, yellow and red. There's also a Medi-Bonus capsule symbol which is the scatter here.

You’ll notice another difference when you get round to spinning the reels. Rather than going downwards they go from left to right. The aim of ‘Germinators’ is to get lines of three or more matching germs either horizontally or vertically. Each time this happens then you win a cash prize depending on which gem matches. The best prize is the yellow one that pays 10x your line bet.

When you do get a winning combination the matching symbols are destroyed. More germs then fall into place. You’ll find that it’s not too difficult to get matching symbols but they won’t always be that high paying ones though.

This is another slot game from Microgaming that is easy to play. All the control buttons are down the bottom of the screen and setting your stake is no problem at all. It has a good look to it and the soundtrack isn't that irritating.

Bonus Game

There’s only one bonus game in ‘Germinator’ and to trigger it you need to get three or more of the Medi-Bonus capsules somewhere on the grid. These little blighters are attached to random germs and if they are visible when the spin stops then you’re up for a decent little bonus.

You get the chance to select one of the germs and remove it from the grid. This of course leaves lots of empty spaces and when they get filled, your hope is that they create plenty of winning combinations. You can also re-trigger the bonus game so that’s always handy.

It’s best to get rid of the lower value germs as there are more of those. Once that’s done hopefully some of the higher value germs will take their place and get you some good wins.

Conclusion

This is a jolly little game that will keep you entertained for a while. The theme is an interesting one, perhaps they ought to link up with some of the other games we've reviewed and have a randy doctor suddenly appear to get rid of some germs. The bonus game can get you some good wins so it's definitely recommended.
