Gift Rap

Gift Rap Slot Review

Here’s another game that has a seasonal feel to it. Waking up on Christmas morning and opening your presents is always a great way to start the day. Then you ask if the receipt was kept and make plans to go and exchange it on Boxing Day. Not a bad idea actually as you can probably get the same item again but cheaper and pocket the change, not that I’ve actually ever done that, honest.

‘Gift Rap’ is a five-reel game from Microgaming who produce plenty of great slot games. It has 25 paylines. You have to decide how many of those lines you want to activate. That’s always handy as they don’t have to be on active paylines to count. The cost of playing the game is between £0.01 and £125 if choosing to play 25 lines at £0.50 a line and 10 coins on each line. Just take a look at your financial budget available for the game and keep to that. It’s not totally necessary to activate all of them as getting into the bonus game is dependent on the bonus symbol.

Symbols in the game include a child’s microphone and speaker, a spinning top, a teddy bear playing a drum, a squeaky hammer toy that will drive you mad by the time you have your Christmas lunch and the same can be said of the monkey that plays the cymbals. Throw in a couple of female rappers and two elves and that’s a set of symbols that adhere to the theme perfectly.

That’s not all though because there’s a wild which is the Gift Rap bauble, a snow spray which is the scatter symbol and the Jack in the Box which is the bonus symbol. This Jack is in fact a snowman called Rappin' Jack Frost wearing a pair of sunglasses!

The game can be played in either regular or expert mode. The latter sees you able to set an autoplay and there are two choices here. Either play five or ten automated spins or set a more specific one that allows you to set a certain number of spins and/or stop it when a certain win comes along.

It's by no means a complicated game but a quick look at the paytable and rules plus some free games will get you used to the game before risking your real cash balance.

Bonus Game

There’s only one bonus game here and that’s the Gift Grab Bonus. To trigger this you need to get three of the Jack in the Box symbols anywhere on the reels. This isn’t the longest of bonus games and it involves a second screen coming up. There’s a number of gifts on offer and you need to keep choosing one to get a cash prize. This carries on until you find the one with Rappin’ Jack Frost inside.

Conclusion

Another Christmas related game but one that could do with a better bonus game to be honest. It's over in a flash and although you can get some respectable wins, a few free spins would be a better option. This is good for a quick game though.
