Iron Man 2 Slot Review
Years ago I used to get a comic that featured plenty of Marvel superheroes but for some reason I was never that keen on Iron Man. How times have changed because now this character is the star of three excellent movies and of course he's a major character in the Avengers too. Thankfully I've still got those comics so perhaps it's time to go back and read them and actually look at his comic strip for a change.
As well as being a successful movie and comic, it's also a big success for Playtech who come up with some great Marvel slot games. Iron Man was a massive hit and so is this sequel, in fact it's a better sequel than Iron Man 2 was in the movies. The graphics are superb in this game and there's plenty for you to do here. Whereas some Marvel movies try to cram too much into them, the same problem doesn't exist here.
This is a five reel game that has 25 paylines. Just like the Incredible Hulk slot there's also a 50 payline version out there. The cost of playing this game ranges from £0.01 to £250. Only go for that maximum bet if you can afford to lose it or are Tony Stark.
The symbols in this game include several that you'll recognize from the movie. There's Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, Ivan Venko and several of the Iron Man suits that feature in the film. The wild symbol in this game is the eagle symbol an this can substitute for other symbols apart from the scatter (the Iron Man 2 logo) to create some handy winning combinations for you.
The look of the game is a bit different from the usual set of reels you'll be used to. There are stacked reels that cover more than one space. I can't say that this looks better than the usual format but it's something a bit different and after a while you'll get used to it.
Bonus Games
Three or more of the Iron Man 2 logo scatter symbol anywhere on the reels will earn you ten free spins. Even better during these free spins there's an extra wild will stay on the centre reel. At the start of the free spins the multiplier is 2x, this goes up by 1 after every other free spin. It's not possible to retrigger the free spins but with the extra wild and multiplier you can still earn some decent wins here.
Also in this game there's the Marvel Multi-Level Mystery Progressive Jackpot that features in this and other Marvel slots. It appears randomly but if you play at higher levels then you have a better chance of it appearing. There are four levels, namely being Power Jackpot, Extra Power Jackpot, Super Power Jackpot and Ultimate Power Jackpot. Entering the game means you will win one of those jackpots. There are 20 squares and clicking on one of them reveals one of the four jackpot symbols. If you can find three matching symbols then well done because you've won that jackpot.
Conclusion
This is another excellent game from Playtech though the look of the reels with the six stacked symbols is a strange one. The bonus games can be profitable and it's an exciting game to play.
