The Incredible Hulk 50 Lines Slot Review
If there's been a few problems making successful Fantastic Four movies, then it's been even harder with the Incredible Hulk. He seems to get on ok in The Avengers but by himself it just always seems to be a bit underwhelming. All of a bit of a surprise really because the story of a scientist who can't stop changing into an angry green monster is classic Jeckyll and Hyde material with a few superpowers thrown in for good measure.
Well the movies may flop but the comics don't and nor do the Playtech slot games based on the character. They have had tremendous success with their 25-line game and even more success with this mammoth 50-line game set on five reels.
Playtech really do like their Marvel superhero slot games with The Fantastic Four and Iron Man also being great games to play. You can play this game from £0.01 to £500. Now £500 on a single spin of the reels is a real monster bet so just go for that if you can afford to lose it.
As you might expect this game has a very green look to it. Symbols in the game are police cars, radioactive hazard symbols, the Hulk logo, the Smash Bonus symbol, helicopters, a beaker full of green liquid that may or may not be the cure and of course the Hulk himself looking rather menacing and definitely not in a good mood. There's also the nine to Ace playing card symbols.
You'll be in a good mood if you see the Hulk though as he's the wild symbol in this game. Well face it who was going to tell him he's not? As usual the Hulk is rather difficult to find and only appears on the second, third and fourth reels. When he does turn up the symbol can substitute for other symbols apart from the scatter (the game logo) and the bonus.
If the Hulk ends up in the middle of the third reel you really have reason to be in a good mood. That's because he'll become an expanding wild and you get two free spins. If the Hulk turns up on all three of the reels that he appears on then the other two reels go crazy and start spinning backwards and this often leads to some very tasty winning combinations.
Bonus Games
Three of the scatter symbols anywhere on the reels gets you into the Scatter Pay Zone. You get ten free spins with a 3x multiplier and The Hulk logo can triple wins. It's also possible to retrigger this feature if those scatters turn up again. If you can get five of the radioactive hazard symbols this wins you a whopping 12000x your stake.
If the Smash Bonus symbol appears simultaneously on the first and fifth reels then this takes you into the Bonus game. You won't be surprised to hear that the Hulk is in a bad mood again and you need to smash the heck out of three of the seven police cars in order to win a cash prize. If you can destroy one of the three helicopters then you win a multiplier. Watch out for the Random Rage feature because that will cause the Hulk to smash up all seven of the cars and that's really incredible.
That's not all though because there's also the Marvel Mystery Jackpot. This progressive jackpot is a regular feature in their slot games and each player contributes a bit towards the size of that jackpot. There's no trigger for the chance to win this, it just crops up on a random basis. If you bet more though there is a better chance of it appearing. When the jackpot game arrives you're guarantee winning one of the four jackpots on offer. The four levels being Power Jackpot, Extra Power Jackpot, Super Power Jackpot and Ultimate Power Jackpot.
There are 20 squares and clicking on one of them reveals one of the four jackpot symbols. If you can find three matching symbols then well done because you've won that jackpot.
Conclusion
This is another excellent Marvel theme by Playtech. The music could probably be a bit more exciting but that's a minor criticism. The bonus rounds certainly present you with some excellent chances of getting some great, even incredible wins. Definitely recommended.
