Mad Hatters Slot Review
It’s over 150 years since Lewis Carroll created the wonderful characters in ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ A century and a half later we’re still in love with the book and it’s been featured in plays, television series and movies. It’s also a popular theme for slot game designers and Microgaming, who keep on producing excellent games have ‘Mad Hatters’ for us to enjoy.
It’s a five-reel game that has a total of thirty paylines. Sadly there’s no background images for us to look at but the look of the game is a good one. Playing the game will cost you between £0.01 and £30. Don’t feel pressured to be activating too many paylines if it’s going to put your financial budget at risk. The bonus games here can be triggered even if you just play with one payline activated.
The symbols do look really attractive and include the delicacies we’d be enjoying if getting an invite to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. There’s cup cakes, lots of ice-creams, a slice of cake (getting hungry yet?), a cup of tea and a teapot. The highest paying symbols are the three cartoonish characters. The one with the big nose, who I guess is the Mad Hatter pays 2000x your line bet for five on an activated payline.
The wild symbol in this game is the red top hat and this can get you some good wins by substituting for other symbols. It’s not possible for it to substitute for the two scatter symbols in this game which are the blue rabbit that’s popping out of a top hat and the cuckoo clock. That’s because they help activate the bonus features in this game.
With a fair bit happening in this game, it’s important to have a look at the paytable and game rules. That will assist you tremendously in learning just how the game runs. Have some free games too and keep a close eye on how the game runs.
It’s the blue rabbit that is suddenly appearing out of a top hat which triggers the free spins round. You need at least three of these, that amount giving you ten free spins. Four will take that up to 25 free spins and you’ll be really cheering if five of them appear as that will see you playing with 50 free spins of the reels.
Your chances of getting wins during the free spins are increased. That’s because you have the chance to turn one of the characters into an additional wild symbol which can substitute for all other symbols apart from the scatters. Even better is the fact that all wins are doubled during the free spins round. It’s not possible to re-trigger the free spins which is a shame.
Also in this game is the Cuckoo Bonus which you won’t be surprised to learn is triggered by the cuckoo clock. You need at least three of these anywhere on the reels at the end of a game. You then have to make some picks, one if you get three scatters triggering this round, two for four and three for five. Simply pick a cuckoo clock and see what the cash prize is.
There’s certainly plenty happening in this game with the two bonus games and the expanding wild. The bonus games aren’t too difficult to trigger and you can definitely win some good prizes in this enjoyable game.
