Mystic Dreams Slot Review

Slot games tend to travel around the world looking for different cultures for their theme. There are plenty of Egyptian and Asian themed games and here we have the native American Indian in a beautifully designed game by top designers Microgaming.

It really does have a great look to it even though there’s a few too many of the playing card symbols. In the background we have a snowy mountain scene which I’ve certainly not seen in any cowboys v Indians movie. There are some teepees and it’s certainly an attractive view that does well to enhance the theme of the game. The soundtrack is a gentle guitar strumming away that nearly sent me to sleep after a while.

The game has 243 different ways to win. That’s achieved by paying out on matching symbols on adjacent reels. The cost of playing ranges from £0.30 to £30.

Symbols include a buffalo, an Indian warrior complete with headdress, an eagle and a gorgeous looking wolf. Then there’s the nine to Ace playing card symbols which are the lower value ones here but that’s about one too many I reckon. Five of the eagle symbols pays 1500x so that's well worth hoping it comes your way. All the information about the wins each symbol can give you are contained in the more than handy paytable.

The wild symbol is always one to look out for as it assists you in getting wins thanks to its ability to substitute for other symbols. In this game it’s the tepee. It can’t substitute for totem pole bonus symbol.

It's possible to set some autospins in this game. Either set between ten and 100 or set your own figure. It's handy if you want some time away from the reels.

Bonus Game

You need to get at least three totem pole scatter symbols on adjacent reels to get yourself some free spins. Three will see you playing with ten, four takes that up to 15 and five rewards you with 20 free spins to try and win some cash with. When playing the free spins round you need to keep an eye out for that tepee symbol on the second to fourth reels. If it turns up and gets you a winning combination then if the wild appeared on the second reel you get a 2x multiplier. If it’s on the third reel the multiplier is 3x and surprise surprise, if it’s on the fourth reel there’s a 4x multiplier.

But what if more than one wild turns up on the reels? Well the multipliers get multiplied and that could see you get a 24x multiplier if all three turned up. Even better news is that you can re-trigger the free spins if the scatter symbols keep on showing up.

Conclusion

Another good game from Microgaming. The theme is a pleasant one though a livelier soundtrack and less playing card symbols would be appreciated. There are some good wins to be had in the bonus game though and this is definitely worth playing.
