Retro Reels Diamond Glitz

Retro Reels Diamond Gliz Slot Review

The Retro Reels series of games from Microgaming has been a big hit. They produce a gaming experience that is a mixture of what we were playing in the old days with a taste of 21st century slot games. With ‘Retro Reels’, ‘Retro Reels Extreme Heat’ and now ‘Retro Reels Diamond Glitz’ we have three excellent games with some great winning opportunities.

This game has five reels, which is more than the usual three reel games that we all used to play in the past. There are three rows of symbols and there are a total of 25 paylines. Those paylines aren’t a fixed amount so you have a few decisions to make before each and every spin of the reels. How many paylines will you activate, what coin range and how many coins on each line are the key questions here. Playing the game can cost you between £0.01 and £125. That’s a decent range so if you’re just looking for some fun or want to win big prizes, then you’ll find a level to comfortably play at.

When it comes to symbols, this game takes a trip back in time to when games were dominated by cherries, sevens, bars and bells. We also get the one diamond, two diamond and three diamond symbols. Also look out for the dollar symbol as five of those get you 10000x your line bet.

There isn’t a wild in this game which is a bit of a disappointment but adds to the retro feel I guess. The bonus symbol is the Free Spin bonus one, more about its significance shortly.

To find out all you need to know about the game, take a glance through the paytable. This has all the rules you need to know regarding the bonus game and how much each winning combination plays. If you then have some free games this will allow you to see the game in action.

The game has a regular and expert mode. The only real difference is that you get an autoplay feature if you are playing in the expert mode. There's also some statistics available as you can see how long you've been playing and your biggest wins.

Bonus Games

If you can get at least three of the Free Spins Bonus symbol anywhere on the reels, then that triggers the free spins round. Three gets you 15 free spins, four takes that up to 20 and five will see you playing with 25 free spins. All the wins you get during these free spins will be doubled and it’s possible to re-trigger the free spins. Note that the fact the free spins are triggered by

The game also has a respin feature. This allows you to respin a reel if you're close to a winning combination. You have to pay for the honour though and the better chance you have of getting a win the more you'll be paying. Don't let this muck your budget up.

Conclusion

Another good retro game from Microgaming. Not that many differences between this and the other two apart from some symbols and the number of paylines. The lack of a wild in this game is a bit disappointing though.
