There have been some legendary battles around the world and in movies. We’ve seen King Kong battle Godzilla, Aliens take on Predators, Tom try to catch Jerry and now it’s the Siberian Tiger up against a great big bear. Yes, you never know what’s coming next when you play slot games.
This is another successful release from Microgaming set in the frozen Siberian wastelands. The game has a suitably freezing look to it. The game has three rows of symbols, five reels and a total of 25 paylines. They aren’t fixed and on each side of the reels you can see a kind of thermometer that shows how many paylines have been activated. Just decide on a financial budget and make sure it’s one you can afford to lose and won’t cause you any financial hassle.
Symbols include a snowflake a cheesed off looking bear (you would be stuck out in sub-zero temperatures), a tiger who looks up for a fight and a leaf. There’s also the nine to Ace playing card symbols that are covered in snow. I’d rather see one or more theme-related symbols though.
The wild symbol is the claw which rips through the reels when it arrives. This can substitute for other symbols to get you some good winning combinations. The scatter symbol is the Tiger v Bear logo and helps get you into the bonus round.

Bonus Games
The Siberian Standoff Feature sees a contest between the tiger and the bear. To trigger this you need the tiger on the first reel and the bear on the fifth at the end of a spin or vice versa. It’s now time for you to choose between the bear and the tiger, who do you think will win the upcoming battle? This isn’t your usual clash between such beasts, we actually have an arm wrestling match!! If you choose the tiger and he wins you get eight free spins, even If he loses you get four.
If you go for the bear and he wins you go into the Bear Claw feature with a 2x multiplier. Another screen pops up with a number of bear claws. You have to choose from them to reveal cash prizes. Avoid at all costs the ‘Stopper’ as that ends the round. If the bear loses the arm-wrestling match you still go into the Bear Claw feature but there’s no multiplier.
Conclusion
Well it’s not every day you get to see a bear and a tiger having an arm-wrestling competition. This is a fun game to play and the bonus games are certainly a little bit different from what we’re used to. Definitely recommended.
