What A Hoot

What A Hoot Slot Review

Slot games feature all kinds of animals and it’s amazing that David Attenborough hasn’t made a programme about them yet. We’ve reviewed everything from crocodiles to cats and monkeys to mice. Now it’s the time for owls to take centre stage in the Microgaming slot ‘What A Hoot.’

It’s not your normal slot game because there’s no bonus rounds to try and trigger, no free spins and no mini-games. That might put a few of you off but this is still a really entertaining game for you to play. If you’re looking for a game that is simple to play then this is going to be right up your street. It’s therefore an ideal game for players who are new to this great world of slot games.

This can be played on your PC or take it wherever you want and play it on your mobile devices. There’s a pretty dark background and all we can really see of the owls is their eyes. The game has five reels, three rows of symbols and a total of just nine paylines for you to try and win some money on.

Symbols in the game include a white owl with a party hat, a blue one that has a hooter, a yellow one that is up for some laughs as it has a joke book and a brown owl that looks as if it’s up for a party as it has a drink. There’s also a What A Hoot logo which is the highest paying symbol in this game Get five of those on an active payline and you’ll win 5000x your line stake.

There are no playing card symbols here, instead the lower paying symbols are acorns, sesame seeds, berries and chestnuts. I love this idea, why instead of all those nine to Ace symbols, don’t we get more lower value ones that are theme-linked.

The wild symbol in this game is the tree that contains several pairs of eyes looking out through the leaves. This can substitute for other symbols to get you some good wins that you wouldn’t otherwise have had. The scatter symbol is the open jar that has fireflies coming out of it. This can get you some wins even if not ending up on an active payline.

Conclusion

The lack of any bonus games is going to put a few of you off. However, this is an entertaining game to play and with a top prize of 5000x you can still walk away with a fantastic win.
