What on Earth

What On Earth Slot Review

I haven’t heard the latest from NASA but it’s possible there may be fruit in space. That may not have been officially confirmed but that’s definitely the case in this slot game from Microgaming. We’re in outer space but there does seem to be some very strange sights to be seen. Thankfully there’s also some excellent bonus games here for you to win some big cash prizes.

The game has five reels, three rows of symbols and a total of nine paylines. The symbols are quite large so there’s no room for a spectacular backdrop to the game. Those nine paylines aren’t fixed so it’s up to you to decide just how many you are going to activate on each spin of the reels. The minimum cost of playing the game is just £0.01 and the maximum £45. Just work out a budget, stick to it and have a fun time playing the game.

The symbols in the game include those fruity sights in space. We have a sun orange, a cherry comet, plums that look like Saturn and a melon planet, green meteor and the console of a spaceship. It’s not all fruity out there though as there’s also a symbol that has an alien face at a porthole, better out than in as this blue creature doesn’t look that pleasant.

The wild symbol here is the What On Earth logo and this isn’t that active. It can only substitute for the console and the porthole. We also get blue, green and red spaceship scatter symbols that will get you into the bonus games. For more info about the game access the paytable and have some free games.

Bonus Games

To activate the Beam ‘em Up Bonus you need to get at least three of the coloured spaceships on consecutive reels. The green and blue ones can only be seen on the third, fourth and fifth reels but the red one appears on all of them. Once activated you see five aliens in their spaceships and it’s time to choose one and this has a multiplier of between 3x and a massive 200x.

It’s also possible to reveal a globe and this activates the Destination Bonus or you can get the Contest symbol which takes you into the Beam ‘em Game.

The Destination Bonus sees you having to choose another destination and you could be lucky enough to reveal a multiplier of 400x. With the Beam ‘em Up Bonus your task is to pick an alien to take part in a competition. It has to try and beam up as many earthlings as it possibly can before time runs out. The more you get the higher the multiplier value and it can get up to 200x.

Conclusion

A strange little theme but an entertaining one. The mixture of the fruit that slot games are famous for and an out of space idea does somehow work. It’s a good game with some inventive bonus games and sometimes it is good to have a break from all the free spins bonus rounds. This is definitely worth playing for a while.
